The Tragedy in Gaza
The
Muslim Women's League
condemns the killing of innocent people in
Gaza (1,200 with 410 children) and in
Israel (3 civilians) in
the recent outbreak of violence. The people of Gaza have suffered
tremendously living in dire circumstances with lack of access to food, clean
water, and electricity, resulting in a human catastrophe. We support the
ceasefire as an initial step with withdrawal of
Israeli troops from Gaza to allow the people to resume some sort of
normalcy. We ask God in our prayers to help the Israeli and
Palestinian people find
a permanent solution to peace and justice for all.
